A educação deve visar o desenvolvimento da personalidade humana e o reforgo dos direitos humanos e das liberdades fundamentais e deve contribuir para a compreensão, tolerãncia e amizade entre todas as nações e todos os grupos raciais ou religiosos. Education must aim at the development of the human personality Teach human rights, basic freedoms and must contribute to understading, tolerance and friendship between all nations and all religions.

A familia é o elemento natural e fundamental da sociedade e tem direito à protecção do Estado. A family is the natural and basic element of society. And has the right to be protected by the Government

A materniade e a infância têm direito a ajuda e a assistência especiais. Todas as crianças, nascidas dentro ou fora do matrimónio, gozam da mesma protecçao social. Maternity and infancy have the right to special aid and assistance. All children, born inside or outside matrimoni, enjoy the same social protection

Ninguém pode ser preso, detido ou exilado injustamente ou sem razão. Nobody can be imprisoned,withheld or exiled unjustly or without reason.

Ninguém pode ser submetido a tortura nem a penas ou tratamentos cruéis e desumanos. Nobody can be submittd to torture, cruel and dehumanising penat

Ninguém pode sofrer intromissões sem razão na sua vida privada, na sua família, no seu domicílio ou na sua correspondência, nem ataques à sua honra e reputação. Nobody can suffer intromissions without reason in his private life, family, domicile or correspondence, nor attacks to his honor and reputation.

O indivíduo tem deveres para com os outros, para com a comunidade, fora da qual não é possível o livre e pleno desenvolvimento da sua personalidade. An individual has duties towards others, and the community. Which can stop free and full development of ones personality.

Os pais têm direito a escolher o tipo de educação que querem dar aos seus filhos. Parents have the right to choose the type of education they want to give to their children.

Toda a pessoa acusada presume-se inocente até que a sua culpa fique legalmente provada. Every accused person are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Toda a pessoa, como membro da sociedade, tem direito à segurança social. Every person, as member of society, have the right to social security.

Toda a pessoa sujeita a perseguição tem o direito de procurar asilo noutros países. Every person subjected to persecution have the right to look for asylum in other countries.
