A proteção da infáncia toca a todos
Child protection touches everyone

Help a parent to "catch"
their child in a good deed.
Praised behaviors are more easily repeated than
critized behaviors are eliminated.

Make sure you choose
what is most important for the child and
not what is most practical for you.

Contact your county's Child
and Youth Protection Commission
Whenever you have reason to believe
that a child is at risk.
Child protection is everyone's responsibility

The protection and promotion of
our children is also your responsibility

Every Bruise tells a story.
Make sure the history of each bruise is congruent
with its shape and location
Remember: Accidental injuries have no pattern

Encourage positive contacts with grandparents
at home, school or leisure activities.
Grandparents are an invaluable rescource of
history, culture, traditon and affection

Childhood does not repeat itself

There is no human quality without
a quality childhood

Parents who develop positive activities with their children have
fewer negative behaviors - physical or psychological.
Make time to play and let him/her choose.

Children need role models
more than criticism

Explain your deciscions to children and hear their oinion
Children's voices must be heard and
taken into account in all matters that concern them.

Show the kids in your life that you love them.
Find different ways to tell/show them daily
that your love is unconditional
